
Bishop Henry Juma Odonya, on the second day of his apostolic visit to Chepareria Parish, has continued to strengthen the faith of Christians by officially opening two new churches this week.
On June 10, 2025, the Bishop officially inaugurated St. Anthony Catholic Church- Kakalas. During the Holy Mass, he emphasized the importance of the church as a place of prayer and peace, urging residents of the area to make it a center of social and spiritual unity.
Yesterday, June 11, 2025, the Bishop led the Holy Mass for the inauguration of the new St. Mary –Poroswo Church, accompanied by leaders of Chepareria Parish, the parish priest, assistant priest, catechists, and faithful from the outstation. In his message, he expressed his joy at how the Parish has been at the forefront of nurturing vocations and encouraged them to continue motivating young people to join the service of the Church.
Today, June 12, 2025, the Bishop is expected to officially conclude his apostolic visit to Chepareria Parish by opening Tapoyo Church, bringing the total number of churches he will have inaugurated in three days to three.
This visit has been a source of blessings and hope for the faithful of Chepareria Parish, showcasing the growth of faith and the Church’s efforts in spreading the Gospel of Christ.
