
The Catholic Diocese of Kitale joyfully joined the universal Church in celebrating the 80th birthday of Bishop Emeritus Maurice Anthony Crowley on Sunday, May 10, 2026, marking a remarkable milestone in the life of a devoted servant of God whose ministry has touched countless lives.
As the Diocese commemorated this special occasion, tributes poured in honoring Bishop Crowley’s decades of faithful priestly and episcopal service, characterized by humility, compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the Gospel.

For many years, Bishop Emeritus Crowley has remained a spiritual father, shepherding the faithful with love and guiding the Church through moments of joy and challenge alike. Through his preaching, pastoral care, and silent sacrifices, he became a beacon of hope to generations of Catholics within and beyond the Diocese of Kitale.
