The family of the Catholic Diocese of Kitale, Trans-Nzoia pastoral area, along with friends of the Church gathered on September 25, 2026 for a luncheon with Bishop Henry Juma Odonya at St. Joseph’s Parish. The event was part of a fundraising drive to advance the construction of the St. Joseph’s Pastoral Centre project.

In his address, Bishop Henry Juma Odonya expressed his gratitude to the faithful, priests, religious men and women, friends of the Diocese and all those who continue to dedicate their time and resources to ensure the completion of the center.

The Bishop urged Christians to take pride in being part of the Catholic Diocese of Kitale and to continue collaborating to build up the Diocese in faith, strengthen its infrastructure and foster human development.

He noted that the completion of the St. Joseph’s Pastoral Centre would bring immense benefits to the Diocese and the faithful, as the project will support various pastoral activities while establishing a foundation for revenue to sustain Church services in the long term.

The Bishop further emphasized that the project represents a long-term investment designed to endure for many years, serving as a vital legacy for future generations of the faithful in the Catholic Diocese of Kitale.

This luncheon was organized specifically to raise funds and provide a boost to the construction work of the St. Joseph’s Pastoral Centre. Another event, a luncheon and fundraiser will take place on the 16th of next month at Kapenguria Parish in the West Pokot Pastoral Area.
